YWCA Provides Free Swim Instruction for Child and Adult Cancer Patients and Survivors

The YWCA Bergen County’s offers free swim instruction for child and adult cancer survivors or those dealing with or recovering from any type of cancer. Lessons are for any skill level, from beginner to those who are more advanced and looking to improve their swimming strokes and overall skills. This program is made possible through the generous support of the Ruth Jones and Fannie Averso Fund.

For adult cancer patients and survivors, free Aquafitness, Adults Swim Lessons, Aquatherapy, Arthritis Classes and Lap Swim are available. For child cancer survivors and those living with cancer, free youth swim classes are available in Ridgewood.

The YWCA Bergen County offers a variety of aquatherapy programs that provide adults with rehabilitation, recreation, and instruction to develop and improve overall fitness, swim skills, coordination, and self-esteem.
