Classes held at Oak Street Facility in Ridgewood Beginning January 6

The YWCA Bergen County offers Yoga for Breast Health, a free course for breast cancer patients and survivors. From the newly diagnosed to the many years recovered, certified instructor Cynthia Stites blends meditation and calming poses in this gentle yoga program.

Yoga is an ancient body/mind discipline that has been shown to be a low-risk, cost effective way for breast cancer patients/survivors to fight fatigue while reducing pain, inflammation and stress. Through regular practice, participants will gain vigor, strength, mobility and an improved quality of life.

Classes will be held on Tuesdays January 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th from 7:30 – 9:00 pm. at YWCA Bergen County, 112 Oak Street, Ridgewood, NJ. Participants should arrive 10 to 15 minutes prior to start of class. Class size is limited to ensure personalized instruction and all equipment will be provided. Funding is made possible by the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
