NJ ADVANCE MEDIA ANNOUNCES PAID SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Intern Positions in Content and Sales & Marketing at leading New Jersey news organization

NJ Advance Media announced the launch of a paid summer internship program with positions in its content and sales & marketing departments.

“Creative, innovative and entrepreneurial talent is essential to our industry as it continues to transform,” says president of NJ Advance Media, Matt Kraner. “We are pleased to take an active role in developing the skills of students in our communities.”

The program is open to current, full-time undergraduate or graduate students pursuing a degree in Journalism, Business, Communications, or related fields.

As part of a national internship program organized by NJ Advance Media’s national affiliate, Advance Local, interns will be immersed in the Woodbridge-based organization for 8 weeks and then come together for a national summit in the New York City area with fellow interns from across the country.

In addition to the positions at NJ Advance Media, Advance Local is seeking candidates for its Alabama Media Group, MassLive.com, MLive Media Group, NOLA Media Group, Northeast Ohio Media Group, Oregonian Media Group, PA Media Group and Syracuse Media Group affiliates.

Students must be available to work between June 1, 2015 and July 31, 2015. Intern position descriptions are available on www.advancelocal.net/internship-program. Applications will be accepted through January 30, 2015, and candidates will be notified by March 4, 2015. Applicants must supply a resume, references and up to 3 work or writing samples.
