Go The Distance for Autism Bike Ride

Ridgewood, NJ, April 1, 2014 -- Budget Blinds of Paramus & Ridgewood announced today it will be a sponsor of the 2014 Go the Distance for Autism Bike Ride. Scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 4th at the Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, the ride will benefit four schools in northern New Jersey that serve students with autism and their families: Alpine Learning Group, The EPIC School, Garden Academy and REED Academy.

The 2014 ride will raise funds to support research, education and treatment programs for children and adults with autism in northern New Jersey. According to a new CDC report 1 in 45 children in New Jersey, and 1 in 24 boys, has an autism spectrum disorder - the highest in the nation.

"In working with organizations such as Alpine Learning Group, The EPIC School, Garden Academy and REED Academy, we hope to raise awareness about the prevalence and treatment of autism" said Dirk Skogerson, General Manager for Budget Blinds of Paramus & Ridgewood.
